In a few words, how would your friends describe you?
Creative & ingenious maybe. Perhaps a little bit shy.
Where did you grow up in the world, and where do you model now?
I grew up in the countryside and in the woods, and I think that is the most beautiful environment to spend a childhood of every child. Now I live, study and work in one of the biggest Polish cities and I’m always willing to travel for photo shoots all over the country if I get an invitation from someone interesting.
How did you get or break into the modeling industry?
I would not call what I do “the breaking into the modeling industry”. I just do it for “sport”.
How long have you been modeling and what categories do you focus on?
About five years, I started in high school with amateur photo shoots outdoors. Now I am dealing with commercial orders, mainly beauty and portraits, but my life are all the fairytales taken outdoors, where I find the best.
How did you gain the confidence to become a model?
I get a lot of warm words and support of friendly people, photographers and make-up artists who want to work with me. They not only build my confidence in this profession, but mostly in private.
What was your most memorable shoot experience and why?
Definitely all fabulous photoshoots, which I made with Marta Voodica Ciosek, Katarzyna Bajda-Rusztowicz, Magdalena Tarach and Agnieszka Lorek. Also being a model at the workshops in Złodziejewo was a great honor for me, because I always dreamed about it deeply, but I did not think it was possible to meet. As you can see, you should never give up your dreams.
What would you say is your special trait or defining feature?
As a model, so looking slightly superficial- eyes. Supposedly they are good for painting. I heard once also the most peculiar compliment from the photographer, who said that “I have beautiful eyeballs”.
Could you take us through your favorite modeling pose or situational expression?
If you look at my portfolio, you will notice that I find myself very well in acting despairs & sorrows. Perhaps there is a lot of some inner despair in me. I have a lot of sessions in the pose of the Virgin Mary and I love them, but all the new comments on photoshoots when someone discovers surprised: “You could be Mary!” started amuse me already.
What is an absolute must for you to bring with you on a shoot?
Frankly I do not have anything I need to bring to the session. This depends on the requirements. I can adapt to the vision of the photographer and makeup artist. Perhaps the only thing may be underwear in which I would feel comfortable taking it on (but not showing it, however).
If you had any intimidating or frustrating moments, how did you overcome it?
I like to hide in my comfort zone. It is our privilege and right to have our asylum. Books, movies, blanket and hot chocolate. Nana ice cream.
What’s your favorite activity or hobby when you’re not modeling?
I can not live without music. I’m not a musician, but I write about it, listen to it, I go to concerts and festivals. I cook, write a blog, I take photos. I read books, go to the cinema. I love travelling.
Do you have any tricks or routines for staying happy and healthy?
Recently I fell in love with freshly squeezed juices. I go to the market and buy kilos of fruit and vegetables. I stopped wearing makeup every day, because I think it’s unnecessary, I liked myself without it. I use coconut oil out- & inside. I do not eat meat and any animal products. I stopped taking the unnatural sugar, highly processed and purified food. Besides, I also exercise and run.
As trends change, how do you renew your image every now and then?
I have been interested in fashion formerly, Lookbook was my favorite site. I was used to wear high-waisted skirts, very flowery blouses and shirts, often oversize. I wore heels. Now I feel best loosely in a track suit, black of course. Black remained my favorite color, but I loved the gray recently. I like to cover myself. Some hoodie, a large jacket and sunglasses- this is it.
If you study or work another job while modeling, how do you manage?
I like what I do, so I have no problem with the division of responsibilities, the day must be divided into everything.
And what would you love to be doing in 5 years from now?
I wish that my day was filled with all the things that I love. I would like to work in vegan environment, for me the most important thing in the world. Be able to continue to paint and draw. Live in my own flat with my rabbits.
Would you do anything different today if you had to start over?
I’m at the place and time of life in which I had to be. Everything in life is determined before. It only becomes by different paths.
Insecurities and fear of rejection are taboo, but what’s your thought on it?
Probably anyone experienced this. We all want to belong to something, even if we consider ourselves as very independent person. We need a sense of coexistence, it is one of the basic needs of mankind. We should not underestimate it, but also does not worry too much.
If you could change anything about modeling, what would that be?
I would love if photo-modeling was more open for low people. I’m not talking about runaway or advertising models, but the terms of growth such as for hairdressing sessions always irritate me in. Seriously?
And what’s your best advice for aspiring models reading this?
You are all unique without makeup. Naturalness is the most beautiful thing.
